Zone 7 retained HydroMetrics LLC to evaluate its groundwater model and recalibrate the model to new data. HydroMetrics LLC provided recommendations for updating the model, particularly issues related to historic mining sites that will be used as recharge sites in the future. HydroMetrics LLC implemented a pilot points approach to recalibrating the model with an appropriate amount of heterogeneity. Also, HydroMetrics LLC helped develop Zone 7’s internal groundwater modeling capabilities.
